tunzes and other magnets

I have a tunze 6200 in my tank mounted with the plastic mount that attaches to the top of the tank. I also have a large magnet algea cleaner that when not in use, I just keep parked under the tunze, it seems to fit perfect in the space between the tunze and the glass. Last weekend our local club had a tank tour and a member said to me that the magnet will have long term negative effects on the pump. I know tunze makes magnet holders, but didn't know if the more powerful magnet would cause a problem?
Don't want to take any chances.

It shouldn't the magnatism is canceled largely by the two opposing magnets. The main advantage of our holders is the design is more stable because the magnets have a wider stance, just like an SUV with the tires more spread out is more stable. The problem here is not would it stick but would it possibly spin or rotate in anyway.

It's not attached to the magnet, it just tends to lean on it from it's own propulsion. My question was more about if the magnet would ruin the motor eventually or interfere with performance

I don't think it would but cannot say for sure.
