tunzes on a 240

I have a 8 foot 240 gallon tank with a reeflo snapper@ about 1500 gph through the sump and 2 maxi 1200 sureflow(highflow) kits.
I am pretty happy with the flow because I actually have to point the pumps upward to keep the sand from blowing around.
But I hate the mounts on these things.
I would like to go tunzes and would like a recomendation.
I thought of 4-6045's to spread out the flow and not blow the sand around.
Also thought of 2-6080's on each end with on/off for six hours each on the aquacontroller.
I can't really bring myself to spend hundreds of dollars on 6100's and a multi controller.
I find it crazy that they cost that much to be honest.
I have had 6025's and 6045's in the past and really like the ball mounts, but will accept the streams if thats what you think is best.
It's a reef tank but no sps coral.
any help would be great.

Of your 2 ideas I would go the 6080 route, well actually the 6085 now as the new revisions are out. Though I might do them on a faster interval myself. The new versions of the streams now are the similar design as the nanostreams only larger. I do not think the 6045s would be worth doing in a tank as large as yours.

I agree, I think the 6085 or 6105's are the way to go, the 6045's are to small for a tank that size.

I was going to say something but the two master is already all over it. For your tank size i would do couple 6125 (Noncontrollable 3100gph) or at least a 6105 to be able to have the flow reach to the other end :D
