Turbelle Recommendations

Roger,

In general would you recommend Turbelle Classic centrifugal pumps for use or would the electronic 7000 series be a better choice?
With the Classic pumps is the motor AC? If so is the speed change accomplished by using an AC drive (changing AC frequency)?

The classic has a fairly complicated motor. The rotor consists of numerous magnetic plates imbedded in an aluminum rotor. The power of the electro magnet controls the rotation. In general I prefer the Electronic pumps, they are more user friendly. The Classic pumps are AC, they have bearings and parts of a typical motor which do wear out and need replacement. The Electronic pumps provide a better value and are easier for the user to service with a simple magnetic impeller unit.
