turbo snail releasing white stuff? clouded up tank

so, this morning i check on my tank and i find my turbo snail on a bed of white "stuff". the whole tank was cloudy, but it did not seem to be effecting anything. The snail was alive because i quickly removed it from the tank, and vacummed up the stuff. any ideas on what it is? would this effect water quality? the major change that happened recently was that i broke down a larger tank and transferred everything to this smaller tank.

It's probably eggs or sperm, I've seen dozens of threads like this and it's usually just snail reproduction.

Definitely reproduction. Quite neat to see it happening, as you don't expect it at all. Every time I have seem my snails release, there is never another snail close.
