Are you running GFO at all?.

Which Pohls, whats acro and sponge power?

Yes about a cup of GFO changed monthly.

Sponge power is a KZ product. Supposed to to aid in the proliferation of sponges and filter feeders and help corals recover? Anyway it's cheap and a staple among the zeo crowd. Started using it a while back and just never stopped. Smells vinegary.

Acropower I think is a Sprung product. A generic AA and elements additive. Seems to be popular.

Pohls is another KZ additive. I only use it when things look pale. It does a greT job of darkening colors quick.

Ive used KZ amino acids high concentrate before, stopped cause I didnt know if it did anything. I replaced with alternating Acropower (you reminded me), and or Fuel fro SeaChem. I still dont know if they do anything or not. Just makes me feel better since I have low nutrients (I know you feel otherwise, but thats what test kits tell me).

Many different Pohls on the KZ menu, which one?

Ask Eddie, its his coral!

Prodibio is a just a mild form of carbon dosing with a bacterial supplement. Its expensive, you can argue it does nothing, but you never hear anything negative other than its expensive and probably useless.

I started with it not to lower nutrients, but because my "crash" was the result of a bacterial bloom, I first started prodibio to help stabilize a beneficial bacterial population, at least that was my thinking.

Tank has been doing great, so I have no reason to stop and don't want to change anything at this point. I'll update in a few weeks. That second frag I made is almost fully encrusted on the plug.

Here is a pic of the minicolony I just posted, the other half that was on the sandbed that is now catching up, and the original frag that is just behind it. In this pic you can really appreciate the difference in GLOW between my original frag and the piece I just posted. The original one is blindingly bright! Sorry about the purplish hue....at least I think its purple;)

I`ll take a cutting ! What is that Biodigest all about ?

Sorry Willi- No fragging frags here. Rovster got a piece when its started to take a down turn, but when it hit rock bottom I gave him the whole thing until I resolve my issue, which im close to doing. :sad1:

Eddie, whenever you want it back! I have that "other" frag I made that's almost encrusted the plug you can use as a tester, but I doubt that's needed. The "half" colonies are both doing well and are re-encrusting. You should come by and check it out! Glad your issues are better....

Well it's mostly encrusted. I felt like the first one took a couple of months, the second one is almost there.

Here is the turd frag in the previous pic.....coming along nice!

Minicolony 1

Minicolony 2, the original frag behind it

[QUOTE: Nice work. Another thing this shows is how a coral looks one way and can color up. I would have never guessed that purple acro was a SS.

Marvin- You made me doubt myself as to whether this was indeed the original SSC from Unique Corals from MACNA 2009 Atlantic City. Ive had many corals ive had no idea where they came from since when you switch tanks corals end up in different areas of the tank as the live rock gets moved around, you loose some in the transfer.... I actually though I lost the coral when I switched from the 120G to the 200G, but then something started sprouting up in that area. It then became this:

i was in MACNA 2009 when I visited Jason Fox's booth. I saw the coral and wanted to buy it. He told me that was HIS, but UC still had more. I went over there and got one of the last frags they had. Below is Jasons pic..I think they are very similar if you include the better photography skills:

Am I wrong???? Now im having doubts. :crazy1::o

EDIT: My pic is from 11/2014- I have since been having ALK issues that I am now getting under control, hence my giving it to Rovster before it was gone, :([/QUOTE]

It's all in the post processing. I'm gonna say they are the same.

Nice! This would be a great topic for a meeting. Photography and more importantly post processing. I may just show up for that one, LOL!

Ian has already done that talk, and promised us a PDF of his secrets.

Have we seen it? :deadhorse::uzi:
