Turtle grass question

Here is my turtle grass in a 29gal. its leaves are from 6-18inch and I started with 4 sprouts and I just noticed another one which brings it up to 13 in little under a year. My substrate is just gravel and alittle sand about 2-2.5inch deep. They seem to like flow overthem and 175MH lighting helps to but they are starting to grow in lower lighting conditions.
