Turtle Grass

I would love to try star grass some time.
Bill (billsreef) sent me some many, many years ago. It was at the time when we were trying to keep our nitrates and phosphates at zero. Needless to say, I wasn't successful keeping it.

Thanks for the tip George. I am hoping with my high nutrients that it will do well in the area where the sand is deep. My tank is 8 years old now, (although the sandbed is probably just under 7 years) but should be mature enough for grasses. I did not have luck with turtle or shoal seagrass but I had t5s then. My coral are much nicer under the ReefBreeder Photon so hopefully I will have better luck this time around.

Addictive Reef Keeping currently has Turtle Grass seedlings for sale.

I have bought these from this guy several times. He sells on Ebay too.

This is actually a decent way of getting them.

Thing about turtle grass is it gets big. It likes a fine silty substrate too. I use oolitic sand.

I started taking down my sea grass aquarium..
