Turtle weed

Anybody know how to get rid of tutrtle weed before it takes over my tank. It started with a small piece attached to a frag base, but now it's on my live rock in 6 different spots. Also called
Chlorodesmis fastigiata or angels hair. oh ya I finally have purple coraline on my back glass.

I had some in one of my tanks and my yellow tang destroyed it pretty fast. He just went nuts over it.

I worry because wet web says it protects itself by tasting bad. I havent tryed any myself though. Umm does it have to be yellow or would any tang work??

I had some a while ago and it just seemed to die out no matter how hard i tried to get it to grow. I do have a yellow tang so that's probiably half of my problem. Try putting it in a tank with a yellow tang and see what happens.

I'd be willing to let you put it in my tank for a tang treat if needed. Let me know.

ok then , is a yellow tang the best option or would any tang work. I know next to nothing about tangs, ie reef safe and fish safe. on a side note my last emarld crab died.. what would kill him . All my tests come out good and everyone else is doing great, possibly the lack of algae??
