Two 6060s or a 6010 kit

Roger,

I am trying to decide between buying two 6060s or a 6010 kit for a 90 gallon tank (50*17*24). I won't have a lot of sand. I had decided to go for the kit, but I was wondering if it might leave me dead spots. The alternative would be two 6060s that could be set up at either side and alternated every few hours. I really appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks,

Matthew.

You will need two pumps I think. I personally would prefer to start with one 6000 and a single controller- 6010 is no longer available and is now called kit TS07- same thing but instead of all parts in one box you get two boxes and it is slightly more expensive. Unfortunately to streamline production and storage this was necessary. The two 6060's would work but I really like the electronic pumps. This is the pinnacle of pump technology and can even notify you of a problem through an acoustic alarm if the pump stops. The computer operated low voltage pump has a substantial advantage in creating flow and the level of control the user has. Buy one, limp along with a couple of maxijets on the other side and then buy a second one later.
