I know this sounds weird, but is it possible for two female ocellaris to host together and both carry eggs at the same time without any males around?
I have a black and white occ and an organc occ that have been together for quite some time. BOth are almost the same size thought the black is a little bit bigger and definitely the one in charge. I was under the assumption that she was the female and the organe one the male and their behavior suggested this. However, I recently noticed that the black one is looking quite swollen in the on the bottom and has been acting much more aggressive and both have been showing off to each other and grooming around my RBTA. I again assumed they would be spawing soon (not my first spawing but first with these two). However, not I noticed that the orange one is also looking very round in the bottom and sometimes they hand out in different places (I also have two regular BTAs in the tank). Is it possible that they are both females and both carrying eggs?
