So, I was down in Knoxville for work and stopped in at one of my fave LFS... Of course they had to have a tank full of gorgeous looking Mags... Spoke to the store manager and they had them in for about three weeks... Had them pack up two of them for the ride back to IL... :) Have had them home 2 days now, mouths have stayed tight the entire time... Ball up really nice when the lights are off... They are currently in my Aquapod for a quarantine period... They didn't much care for the 150w Sunpod, so I took it off and threw my 6x39w Tek Elite over them... They're loving the additional light... Now I just hope they survive me being out of town... Will keep you guys posted... ;)

It is really true. Somebody got all the luck. Although I should not be the come that complain. Over the last 6 months I got a beautiful blue haddoni, two beautiful Gigantea (one purple and the other yellow/green) and a beautiful purple base yellow/green tentacles Magnifica.

No doubt! I've been looking for a healthy Gig for 2+ years. Every time one comes in I want to buy it, but don't. Sure enough 2-3 weeks later its melting and I'm glad I didn't make the plunge.

There's a healthy Purple Haddoni at one of the LFS I frequent, but it's not in my reefing budget with my other nem purchases!

Nice anemone! I am also from IL and heading down to Knoxville this weekend for the football game. I go down every year for a game and love Coral Reef. I also just bought a mag 2 weeks ago and will be leaving it for the first time (nervous). How is their coral selection looking? I am looking to grab a few frags. Also, do they run weekly specials or anything?
 
Gosh... If we don't win this week, I don't know what I'll do. Have get this SEC win. They had a great selection of corals last week. Had just received a shipment in, but they weren't priced yet. Had some really nice SPS, but I couldn't make it past these two. I'm unaware of any specials or promotions they run. I know they offered a 10% discount to our reef club back when I was president, but I also know the club has gone through some transition since I moved.

Working toward a tank for a Mag. will definitely be checking with them when ready.

Just wanted to check in and see how your mags were doing. I just purchased an orange ritteri from them yesterday that is totally awesome. He is healthy as a horse and they told me it had been with them for over 2 months. Also got 2 blackfoot clowns from them that are in great shape as well. I will try and post some pics as soon as I figure out how to upload iphone pics to the thread.
 
Both Mags are still doing amazingly well... I went out of town for 10 or so days right after I got them, but both are still looking great... The Purple footed one walked up the side of the QT tank... I'm sure it is unhappy with the amount of flow, but I wasn't about to let either get shredded while I was out of town and then kill the other by fouling the tank... I'll likely move them this upcoming holiday weekend since I'll have time to work on things a bit... I'm headed back out of town tomorrow and Tuesday, so I'm leaving well enough alone for the time being... :)
 
That's good to hear. It certainly helps when you can purchase a mag that has been at the store for some time. They had one mag there with a bright yellow/green column which looked outstanding as well. Anyway, good to know your mags are doing well.
 
Any more I won't purchase an anemone unless it has been at the LFS 1 month plus... I've passed on some gorgeous looking Gigs, but to me its not worth it.

Post some pics of yours when you get the chance.
 
I had an opportunity to go by Coral Reef today. They still had two mags. I really really wanted one of them! To bad I don't have a home for it yet. I will be getting back with them later.
