Dr. Roy is is possible to have two peacocks in the same tank...one being male and the other being female? the reason i ask is because im close to getting a male and it would be easy if i didnt have to put a partition down the middle of the tank and then have to monitor and see if there would be signs of courtship. The tank will be well fed, there would be rock piles on opposite ends of the tank.

I know that L. Mac's are mates for life. Is it the same for O. Scyllarus?

Also if i am sucessful i was wondering you would want me to send the research that i gather to you for your added collection? i would try and organzie it in notes and possibly a few videos of the fry and the female (and/or male) caring for them

This is very risky. I have had O. s live togetehr for a few weeks, but never permanently. It is usually the molt that does on in. I cannot recommend it.

Even when we introduce males and females for mating, frequently one will strike the other and if not lethal, the wounds are good points of origin for shell disease.

so keep the tank divided and them seperated untill i see signs of courtship and then move the divider to let them mate and then seperate them when done?
