Two Tunze 6105s stopped working

Sometime today, my two Tunze 6105's stopped working. They are attached to a 7096 controller. I bought and installed them in late July, and they have been running fine since then until today. However, I do now remember hearing a very faint and intermitted muted beep sound coming from the tank. (Not rhythmic but with about 2-5 seconds between beeps that lasted between 1/2 and 1 second.) I had not tracked down the noise it was so faint, but now that the pumps are off, the noise is gone. I'm now pretty sure it was one or both pumps.

I tried unplugging the units and plugging them back in. I tried to disconnect the controller, and run them manually... nothing. I cannot possibly imagine that they need cleaned already (its only been two months), and it seems very suspicious that both them would die simultaneously.

I need to get my flowing going in my tank again, so this is somewhat urgent. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Jeff

I took the propellor out of both pumps. There were no calcium deposits. I wiped them down anyway and put them back into the pumps. Now they both are working fine.

I'm guessing the humming / intermittent beeping sound was the warning from the pumps.

6105's have no alarm or speaker which could beep, the older 6100's did. The most common cause of sputtering and stalling is something caught between the shaft and prop magnet. Some sand or a bit of calcium build up.
