I picked this up the other day... They called it a shrimp anemone but to me appears to be a carpet gig anemone. It is very sticky..

It is pink, white, and green but may be bleached. It is about 4 to 5 inches when fully open. It just ate two krill.

Sorry if this comes up twice.

Does the underside have a lot of brown spots or are there just a few blue/purple spots under the disk? Brown spots would mean its an Atlantic carpet (forgot the species name), if the spots are blue/purple its a gigantea.

It is a S. gigantea.

phender was thinking of the Sun anemone, S. helianthus. However, the oral disk of Sun anemone is smaller in compare to the foot and thus does not have the folds of the oral plate like your anemone.

I finally was able to look they are bright blue spots? Does this mean it is just bleached out? It is doing awesome. Seems like it might be changing colors. It eats squid chunks once every 5 days or so.
