Love them both but GSP is at the top of his game and unstoppable at 170. BJ needs to stay at 155 and he'll be dominating as well. I'd rather see GSP and Silva

Agreed. GSP has just elevated his game.

Anyone watch WEC? I would like to see what Faber would do in the UFC. You really can't tell from who he has faced over there.

Sorry to poach in your St. Louis forum, but when I saw this I had to tell you guys something cool.

One of my LFS's is now sponsored by TapOut!!

I live in Orange County (CA) and one of the Tapout guys (not punk, scrape, or mask, but some african american dude was in the store and got a complete reef setup. Now, the guys at the store wear Tapout shirts once a week and are Tapout sponsored.

ULTIMATE REEF FIGHTING!!!
My money is on the Octopus... You can't Arm Bar him and he can tie you up with 2 legs and ground and pound you with the other 6!!

Gonna have to say GSP also. Him and Silva would be the ultimate, but I am not sure even Dana can make that happen. It sounds like Silva is ready to quit.

I should be a really good fight. You never know what kind of shape penn will be in.

Well, it was my birthday yesterday and I was finally able to watch a whole UFC, well minus about 15 minutes it took me to relieve a couple tower guards. Had to get up a 6 AM to wathc it live. ;) I was really impressed with Frankie Edgar's win over Sherk. That guy is going to be a force at 155. The Hughes/Serra fight pretty much went as expected, wasn't really impressed with either. Hughes is a legend but I think its time for him retire from fighting, I don't think his heart is in it anymore. Evan's strategy against Machado really baffled me. He looked like yet another world class wrestler with a few prior knockouts on his record that thinks he can standup with anyone  Anyone else have any thoughts?

All in all, good show. The UFC is going to be in Philly August 8th; I'm trying to think up an excuse to go.

Loved seeing Evans hit the mat. Machado looks like he will be tough to beat. Reminds me of a more refined Liddell with counter fighting style. I am a huge Hughes fan, but I can't disagree. I think finding god stole his heart away from wanting to rip people heads of their necks. About 2 months before loosing the title he went on a mission to Mexico, found baby jesus, and then started touring and preaching. Next fight he wasn't the same old Matt Hughes.

I too was happy to see Evans get knocked out. Not that I dont like him, but that Machida deserves it much more. He really reminded me of the Anderson Silva of old. He's leaps above any competition in the UFC, and it will be a long time before he'll be de-throned. As for Hughes, I think its definately time for him to hang it up and just be a coach. Physically he's not the same fighter, each appearence he looks smaller and less defined. He may have the cardio, but the brute strength and aggressive nature is slipping away.

lol who is on the next card? AND who is going to beat anderson "the spyder" silva ? i think he should go after the 205 belt

I think Demian Maia has a good shot if he can get him down. He's undefeated so far. He like to win "without hurting" his opponent. :-p

Demian Maia's standup is ever improving, with a few more good wins under his belt, he should be a good test for Silva. The real question is how well will Anderson Silva do against Forrest Griffen? Forrest wont dance around Anderson for 3 rounds, so will we see the Silva of old or will he avoid Forrest at all costs?

I got to watch another one. :D It was actually on live at 2330 here last night. There were some beatings.
