Well as most of you know I have my Solana up and running. I purchased a Blue Spot Jawfish a few days ago. Well aware of them being jumpers. I have the glass top and only the two front corners are open. About an inch or so in width. Well Mr. Jawfish found one of them last night and he was curled up like a dry prune in the desert sun. *sniff sniff* Well just to let everyone else know, out of my recent experience. MAKE SURE ALL HOLES ARE COVERED!!! They will fit through even the smallest holes.

:(

Yeah i had a dried up blue spot its sucks bad. Then i covered the tank got a new one and a few months later it got sick . But they are worth it they have huge personalitys

Yeah, well luckily I am getting the Wood Trim Kit for the Solana in on Thursday. That completely covers the tank and there is also a cover for the back chamber areas. So he can jump but will knock his head on some glass. I will be getting another one for sure within the next few weeks. I love them, they are too nice to pass up.

I'm glad you're taking corrective action and trying again. Now I can live vicariously through you and won't feel the need to set up a species tank myself. :D

I've gone thru 2 bluespots and 2 yellowheads. The one bluespot escaped thru a tiny hole in the mesh covers I have. The 2nd bluespot just disappeared, no remains found. One yellowhead died, shortly after shipping. The 2nd yellowhead found a small hole and made his escape.

They are definitely tricky fish to try and keep.

I hope this second one makes it through. I will not be buying another one after this one so I want to make sure it is healthy and I have the proper cover over my system.
