Hey Laurarca....
I thought you promised us pics of your set up?
Some pics of your fry would be nice too! :fun4:
There are a lot of us using Dan's Food for enrichment.
As for not keeping up, just wait until you finally get your method working for you and then you'll streamline your method until it becomes much easier to deal with.
Just remember that you can spend the same amount of time raising 100 fry as you do raising four once things are under control.
ok rayjay...here I come again....
On the Dans Feed package it states this:
add at a rate of 1/8 of a teaspoon per liter and aerate....aerate what??
should be blended in a blender for 2 minutes first and poured through a 50 micron screen...why?
how much of this enrichment, which is in RO water, do I add to my enrichment tank?
I guess I am saving the left over in the liter bottle in the refrigerator? How long does it stay good in the fridge?
I really did complete elementary AND high school, but this is about to kill me...:fun4:
You aerate the salt water plus powder mix that you have in the enrichment container.( After the blending of course)add at a rate of 1/8 of a teaspoon per liter and aerate....aerate what??
The blending first of all makes most of the powder into smaller particles that suspend in solution better and of a size the artemia can uptake, but some particles still remain too large, and, foam is produced and can be captured along with any possible larger particles by pouring through the screen/mesh.should be blended in a blender for 2 minutes first and poured through a 50 micron screen...why?
As noted, you use 1/8th teaspoon of Dan's Food per litre of SALT water in the enrichment container. (Not 1/8th teaspoon of already blended mix, and not in R/O)how much of this enrichment, which is in RO water, do I add to my enrichment tank?
I make a fresh batch up for each enrichment as I don't want any chance of bacteria developing in a stored portion.I guess I am saving the left over in the liter bottle in the refrigerator? How long does it stay good in the fridge?
