Ugly black creature

Whilst looking at my corals I noticed an ugly black creature on the ground. It was about 4-5in length, 1-2cm in diameter with a few tentacles. It quickly swum away so couldn't get a photo. I know it's hard without a phot but any ideas? Will try and get a photo

Did it look similar to a centipede? If so its probably a bristle worm.

No definately not a bristleworm. It looked more like a slug with tentacles at one end but it can swim. Very weird and ugly looking.
