ugly corals grow faster?

why does it seem the ugly brown palythoa grow faster tehn the nicer ones.. ( green centered .. the wierd colored ones..... samehting goes for zoos)

That is unfortunately VERY true. I guess the Murphy who has a law named after him must have grown coral.
