UK 400ltr SPS

Yes Joe, it kind of does look like that....hasn't grown all that much since placement about a 6 weeks ago. Will it not grow at the same rate as other plating Montipora?

In my tank it seemed to grow normally then suddenly it went crazy and started showing up every where. On the walls and in a dozen new little crevices. In fact If you look through some of my pictures on my thread you'll see that it ended up covering over the entire back overflow. Fortunately it came free in one huge sheet when I reaquacaped, but now its on the return piping and overgrowing my anit-siphon whole and I can't seem to kill it. I'm not sure that it is much faster than other plating monti's but then I put all plating monti's on a separate rock so I can take out the whole colony when I want.

Anyways, it is a nice coral, but it does get real big real fast.

Very nice..........the only nick I'd give you is those Yumas (mushrooms?) on the overflow. They distract from your aqua scape.

Kinda like Kate Upton in a bikini with a big cold sore on her lip.

I'd move them to the base of one of your structures.

Lol! I love that analogy! But Kate Upton in a bikini is still Kate Upton in a bikini, cold sore or not......!
I get what your saying though, I've contemplated removing them regularly, but I fear it will be a massive pain in the *** to get them off and i'm wary about a big slime fest in the tank if I try. What do you think?

I really like your tank. The open space for the fish is really nice. I started dosing acropower about 2 months ago and I am pleased with the results. How much are you dosing?

I would think you could shave them off with a flat razor. Maybe just do a few once a week or so as not to make a mess.

You're table and the the bushy acro would make more of an impact as the focal point without the mushrooms.
