This is Aptaisa right it's in my 46 fowlr so should I just pluck it out or what? Also what's all the others strands surrounding it? Thanks!

Do you see in the first picture in the right hand corner? It is a stalk with 6-9 little arms that come off of it.

First pic looks like it might be aiptasia, hard to see anything out of the norm on the other pic

It did retract when I poked it. Sorry for the late reply. Do I need to pull out the whole rock or can I just rip it off?

Umm Aptaisa

Cover it in super glue gel. Make sure you get the whole thing. If you try and rip it out it will just spread.

Aiptasia x works well for me

I've scrapped them off with a knife, just be prepared with a turkey baster to suck up any parts of you don't get the whole thing. The strands are algae as the others have said, looks like hair algae. Check your phosphates and nitrates and get those in check to get rid of it. Good luck!
