Underwater camera case--Help Help Help

Hello fellow reefers. (always hear Jamaican music in the background when I hear or read that phrase...wonder why)

Anyway.

Embarking on trip to the isle of Kaua'i

I intend to snorkle with the hopes of maybe playing with camera and then photoshop when I return.

I have one Sony cybershot DSC-P150. Looking for someone who can either lend me or sell me a waterproof case for use on my trip. The Sony MPK-PHB or like aftermarket (can't recall the aftermarket version at present)

OR

I have Nikon D-70S. Looking for someone who can either lend me or sell me a waterproof case for use on my trip.

Looking for the plastic case types that have hinges and orings and such. There is a Nikon medium range that is a bag style and has a superior depth rating which is not like the glorified $35 ziplock baggy type.

If anyone locally here can help me out it would be a nice plus to my trip. I take care of things and return them in like or better conditon and would be open to deposit if needed as well.

Hopefully I won't need strobe flash to...or another lengthy pleading will follow.

Thanks for reading.

will do ray

will do ray

well,
I ended up with ikelite for the sony.
a sunpak underwater flash unit
funky arms....not for me the camera housing

And like I need another hobby.
Bought fins and snorkels and wetsuits and tools of that trade and registered for full certification PADI class setup there. What the hell am I thinking. I can't wait. I can't wait.

reason for reply....oh yeah.
So, unless camera fails or water calimity befalls me.
Why of course I will post photos from the trip. Well, Unless the highly expensive venture turns to be just me making bubbles and perty flashes under the waves.:artist: Then I just lie to ya's and say the TSA folks corrupts me laptop AND the camera backup direct download drive.

Good luck on your trip. I am envious. Just blame it on a leaky housing seal that ruined the camera if you have troubles.

envy perspective

envy perspective

I have been wanting to hit the wave's and scuba bit since I was 4 or 5 when I watched Cousteau.
adding another notch of things to do etc.
If I could just win a National Match President's Competition and get to my professional aspirations...why I would have no more goals...and I don't have the shake for a shuttle flight so I guess these goals will have to do.

Thanks for the luck. That with some grace from above and some do dilligence everting should come out juss fine mahn......sings----WHOAHH!

I have been wanting to hit the wave's and scuba bit since I was 4 or 5 when I watched Cousteau.

I was just telling my kids the stories about when there were only 3 TV channels and they actually signed off at night. Then, as a kid, I would wait for Jacques Cousteau or the Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom to come on... usually Sunday nights followed by the Wonderful World of Disney.

At the time we were watching Animal Planet and they switched it to the Disney Channel. It is a foreign concept to them to not have media access 24/7. What a contrast in what we had. Dedicated channels for any subject.

I officially feel old now... LOL

Kauai underwater Pics Soon

Kauai underwater Pics Soon

Well,

Got certified in diving all the way from Open Water to Advanced Open Water PADI.
We didn't become shark meat.
Got underewater photos around reefs of Kauai.
Most are not Natianal Geographic specs but some are decent.
Unpacking and getting over back to winter hang-over.
Once Northern exposure sinks in I'll post photos when I can get to it.

Mahalo.

OK you've had 2 weeks now let's see some photos man :D

You should be done going through withdrawals by now.

Sorry polan, ItZme, Et al.

Today's excuse.
To compliment the 60 inch high by 28 foot long waterfall that I had built in my backyard 2 years ago I am building a raised bed system 190 linear feet by 17 inches high by 5 feet deep. around the perimeter of my backyard.

This includes 70 arborvitae, 190 linear feet of railroad tie rear wall and 190 feet linear feet stone wall fronts. Moving all perennials and decorative bushes and relocating them once walls are in place. This includes staining, tarring wooden RR tie walls and installing drainage trenches in the beds.

Prior I had total killed front lawn, installed sprinkler system, dual outlet electrical run, and matching the backyard install rock wall island with perennials and bushes, a blue spruce and 2 decorative trees.

I close on another property tomorrow and will have to get working on that while above task is being completed.

However, now that thread has been revived I will have to as they say "make time".

Thanks for your continued patience. :)
Well....It's 7:21 AM as I write this and I have to get out and work on completing drainage ditch 2. Bye for now.
