Anyone know if one of these eels would prey on a pyramid butterfly, yellow tang, sergeant major, or volitans lion fish? Im thinking the butterfly and tang would be saved by their height, not length or aggressiveness.
I have never owned one and by far am no expert. I have read that the undies are super aggressive. Do a search on here for them, I believe a guy has had one for close to 20 years and I'm sure he would be able to answer your questions best.
I had one of these many years back (early eighty's). For sure one of the most aggressive fish I have ever kept. Very optimistic feeder, eats everything. The only tank mates that made it was a mid sized picasso trigger and a large koran angel. It grew from appr. 15 cm to about 80 cm in 1,5 years. I finally donated it to a public aquarium, where it thrived for a long time (some 10 years).

Yeah, some of those larger members(ie green moray) belong in large systems by themselves or in a public aquarium. So what moray would work that would show impressive feeding habits, but not eat my fish?
