Undy met her match?

I bet the ungy comes out in a few days and all is normal. I wouldn't suggest adding a niger to the tank as if its the 125g your talking about the triggers will become super aggressive once they reach a certain point and not feel they have enough room. Atleast thats what happened to my niger in my 125 when he got over 4". Whent from a good guy to having everyone backed into corners and he was going from corner to corner blasting away....it was not a good day.

If the undy was hungry, the damsel wouldn't have a chance. At the least, the undy would assert dominance. Sounds like maybe it's well fed and would rather be lazy then put up a fight.

I will take some photos tonight.

After an hour of taking live rock out of the tank, and chasing the Fing damsel... I caught it and brought it to a friends house to put in his tank.

I did a pretty large water change, for no reason really other than to help get some of the stuff that I churned up out of the tank. I turned all the lights off and let the trigger rest last night.

Funniest thing too... the LPS has a 20 gallon or whatever those little display tanks are... with an Undy and six other fish... not one of them bothering each other...

Anyway... I will try and take a photo of the Undy's tail tonight.

Questions on the tail where the "bite" marks are... instead of the tail being smooth and round, the tail has the bite marks. The skin around the missing tail is all normal color... no white... if anything maybe a little browner then the green in the tail. If the tail is this way would one assume it is healing or better yet uninfected?

Thanks all...

The yellow guy is gone...

I turned on the lights today... the trigger was in her normal spot, so I thought nothing had changed over night anyway...

Instead to my suprise the Undy turned around and swam around in the cave, then showing me she is okay she took a bite at the rock...

The tail still concerns me, however I think as another poster had said... I think I made her socially inept, the the yellow damsel freaked her out.

Just very glad that the story is still possitive...

Less than an hour with lights on... she has explored about half the fishtank...

I think she is still looking for the damsel :)
