Unhealthy Zoa's?

A colony of my zoa's recently has begun to look unhealthy. In an attempt to change this situation I decided to move them in the tank to a new location. Upon doing this I notice a few polyps with a growth on them. Any idea what this may be? I scraped them off in a freshwater dip. Thanks for any insight.

Would you by chance have a super macro of both sides?

Does it move or remain stationary?

Hard or soft?

Any feet, tenticles, etc?

When you peeled it off, did the area of the polyp underneath it looked eaten, disclored etc?

Be care when doing this, take a sheet of toilet paper that is non scented, if it's 2 ply, split it down to one ply, place it as a barrier between your nose and what's in the above pictures, and tell me what it smells like.

It looks parasitical.

Sorry for taking so long to respond. Here are answers to the previous asked questions:

Would you by chance have a super macro of both sides?
- The only pictures I have are the ones previously posted. I noticed them one night and took the toothpick to them that night. I ended up flushing the growths.

Does it move or remain stationary?
- My guess is that they move. But, I am not sure as I took care of them as soon as I noticed them. The zooanthids were gradually getting worse over time and then I noticed the 'growths'.

Hard or soft?
- I would consider them hard, not soft. They were almost the feeling of hard rubber. They also were very hard to get off of the stalk of the polyp.

Any feet, tentacles, etc?
- Not that I noticed.

When you peeled it off, did the area of the polyp underneath it looked eaten, discolored etc?
- No, but as mentioned above, they growth was on the polyp very well.

Attached you will find a new and up to date photo. It seems that the polyps now have a white area on some of them (zoa pox maybe?). A colony of polyps located near them also seem to be getting this and are starting to look bad. I am thinking of moving these sets of polyps out of the main tank and to the sum.

Also, the first picture of polyps (the original colony) has what looks like a clear slime around some of the polyps. Any idea what this maybe?

All thoughts and ideas are very greatly appreciated.

I'd be researching and comparing to stometella snails or variants within the family.....just a gut feeling as I've had small dark stometellas before.
Best of luck!
