Union ball valve locally?

I checked Home Depot and they didn't have them so I figured lowes didn't either. Thanks I'll go check after work.

Picked this style up at Lowes last weekend. My local store has them up to 2" on the shelf.

I would pay a little more and get the sch. 80 (gray). It just seem/feel more solid.

I had problems turning the ball valve on the white ones after a short while, but never had a problem with the sch. 80 in 5+ years of use.

Most fish stores can order them for you, but its almost twice the cost of the white one.. good thing its only a one time cost :)

I have used the white ones like in the photo from HD for years without any problems, the only thing I don't like about them they can be hard to turn.

I think Ace Hardware might actually have the schedule 80s. I can't swear to it, but I thought I saw them the last time I stopped in for some plumbing stuff. I don't go to Ace very often, but they have a good selection (just a little pricier)

Never understood why people use schedule 80. I understand over kill on somethings but schedule 40 is perfectly fine.

Ace didn't have any. Lowes had 1.5 and 2" ones but that's to big for me. Double checked Home Depot and they didn't have them. Didn't want to order online and have to wait. Might have to.

I know Aquarium Arts and AZ Shark Reef have some schdule 80 fittings so you might call them up.
