Unknown Hitchhicker wrasse?

II found this fish hidden in a rock that I purchased. Does anyone have a clue what it is? I think it’s a wrasse of some sort. The LFS by me said a possible soapfish from the photo. Anyone know for sure. Sorry for the bad picks my camera sucks.

That is a nice little fish. I have looked at getting one of those guys (if it is what blue badger says it is ) in the past.

Yeah Basslet for sure....seems to match up with what F&S sell as a banded longfin basslet. That has to be the most amazing hitchiker I have ever heard of. Fish almost never survive the importation/curing process that rock goes through. Any chance you purchased rock from another hobbyist? If not, where did the rock come from?

awesome hitchhiker! they can be a little aggressive, but beautiful none the less.
