Just thought I would pass this article I read in Pet Age Feb 2007...
VT held public hearings in Dec for input on a proposal to regulate the import and possesion of 'wild animals' that are not domestic... fish, reptiles, birds and amphibians included...
Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council said the draft proposal includes a list of prohibited sps as well as a limited list of "unrestricted wild animal sps" that does not include some that are now sold in the state... Others would be subject to permit requirements...
A formal rule making is expected early 2007..
