Hi all,
im currently in the process of setting up a small reef aquarium and have cycled the tank with live rock etc and added the clean up crew a couple of weeks ago. I have a small layer of fine substrate on the base but i noticed this morning there are lots of very small (maybe 1mm - 2 at best) creatures on the inside of the glass. They kind of look like brineshrimp, long cylindrical shape and are white / colourless in appearance, and they can be seen moving around. There seems to be more at the bottom so im wondering if they have come off the substrate? The only other item thats been in there was a friends clown fish that was been bullied, it had a bit of ich and stayed in my tank while my friend set up a quarantine and has now left the tank again. Could this be connected? Is it something i need to get rid of before i add my fish?
