Up close with the zoa eating nudi

I've noticed they can take on the color of the zoas they munch on. This guy was eating green.
For such a small creature, they are pretty quick! This wasn't easy
I must say. Hopefully with better lighting I can do better. Enjoy.

Here he is running away from the light. Poor thing, I almost felt bad for it with all the lights and saucers he saw today.

I did it with a Canon S2 IS digital camera with an old 50mm
SLR lens reversed on the front. I am still learning the technique
and how to light it right.

It was very cool observing it on the cameras lcd while trying to get a good shot. Much better then the pictures reflect. I need to dig out a much smaller one for my next try, and maybe some swirls....no shortage here.

I am going to try and image one actually doing his job next chance I get.
