His foot doesn't seem to be attached. I notice he did move a little since last night. His color is better then when I first got him so I think hes eating. I did pick up some shrimp from the store and will try to get him to eat while I am watching. I know food sticks to him when I drop the brine shrimp in but the damn clown knocks it off sometimes. When he does eat he will close up right? I really haven't seen him do that but the clown looks like he is taking food right to the anemones mouth. What do you guys think?

My water test are
ph 8.3
nitrite 0
ammonia 0
nitrate 20 :( been trying to bring this down for a week now
calcium 400
temp 78-80
sal 1.026
phosphate 0
Those are all the test that I have
my lighting is 150mh and 2 65w actinic bulbs

Tank is too new and your nitrates are too high. It may adjust but you need to take care of the nitrate issue for sure. At 5 1/2 months the tank isn't stable enough to support an anemone IMO. Try feeding it in a day or so once it finds a spot it likes and attatches itself. It should use it's tentacles to move the food towards it's mouth. Mine never closes up while it eats.

kk I will feed him everyday, does the 6 month rule still count if I moved the tank? I use about 30g of the water when I moved it. My little bro had the tank for 4 months before I did. The nitrates did spike but I am trying to get them down. I do water changes once a week and will start doing more to help drop them. I am gonna feed him fresh shrimp from the store. I did notice that the shrimp I got last night was pre cooked :( so I didn't get to try tonight.

I saw a string thing come from his mouth is that waste? Or is he wasting away? I tried to feed him some fresh shrimp and he rejected it. He doesn't look to bad not really deflated, you guys think hes a goner?

that looks like partialy digested shrimp to me
the anemone is bleached but looks ok still

silversides are sold at many LFS they are frozen fish i usually cut mine in half and dont feed the heads
selcon is a vitamin suppliment that will help the anemone recover you just defrost the silversides in a lil RODI and selcon then feed them to the anemone.
