i finally got that damn foam wall anchored down. i put all my water in about 45 mins ago and put my 2 heaters in to start warming that sucker up. thought i'd update you guys with some pics. i'm rather happy with the turnout so far

btw the wall is more light purple. it seems blueish in the pics. its not. i couldn't get it to take a good photo of the actual color :(

enjoy

thanks :) i just now put my other 65w PC on the back end of the tank. i'm enjoying the ripple light effect on the foam wall. hopefully gonna get ahold of some rock tomorrow to put in here

ok lemme get some stuff together. do you want me to bring that 30" 65w or no? and if i pick that up from you, i'll need to bring a tote along to put it in. can you pm me how much you'd settle for since i can't trade you the 48"? i'd need to stop at my bank since its nowhere near downtown.

Love the wall Shaar! How did you finally anchor it down?

i foamed it down to the bttom and siliconed it to the sides of the glass. then let it dry/cure and its still holding well! :)

immediately after spraying the foam and kinda moving it around (USE GLOVES!!!! IT IS NOT AN OPTION!!!) i threw handfuls of crushed oyster shells (which i have a surplus left over, want em? lol). i also threw sand on there... let it dry for a couple hours, then sprayed it with spray paint from walmart. i got a darker purple and a lighter purple. i want to say the brand was killz or something like that? not sure really. but i believe any spray paint will work. i just picked these becuase it had the best colors that would immitate coralline coloration.

let me know if you're wanting to do this. i can help if you need any :)
