Update on newly adopted carpet nem

Just an update on my carpet anemone.
3 weeks ago I unexpectedly got a carpet anemone when I bought all of the livestock from someone's 150g reef. They had completely forgotten they had him, as he was tucked way under a rock at the bottom of the tank, and he was as white as a piece of white construction paper.
I've been feeding him a nice chunk of frozen thawed squid every 3 days or so. He already seems to be getting a good amount of color back and his foot has been planted firmly in the place I originally put him and has dug down to bury his body.
Here's a photo of the first day I had him, and a photo from 5 minutes ago under mh's only.

And today

I really like this creature quite a bit. Can't wait to see him back to 100%.

Thanks! I fed him 2 nights in a row and he seemed to love it. He's buried his foot even deeper into the sand and looks bigger. It might just be me, but it seems like he's gaining more color every day.

This guy is AWESOME! I really really like this animal.
I've fed him a piece of squid the last 3 out of 4 nights, and man he has really responded terrifically.
I cannot belive how big and stretched out he is today. A lot of blue and green hues are becoming more and more vibrant. Just really exciting stuff.
Considering the increase in size I'm going to start measuring him. Here is a photo from today, with only 20k metal halides on.
Foot is buried even deeper than last update.

I haven't quite figured out what it is, my guess is a haddoni just based on comparison photos.

Thanks you. I'm trying to reserve some excitement, otherwise I'd be posting update pics everyday haha

I fed him again last night. He seems to be doing great. Gave him a nice chunk of squid and he devoured it in about 5 minutes. Responding very well, seems to be very sticky and happy.

Sorry guys hahaha.. I completely forgot my wife had setup the entire interior of the house to be painted Monday and Tuesday so I had the tank covered up and off its light schedule for 2 days.
I would uncover and run the actinics for a few hours and didn't want to take a photo under all blues.
Didnt get a chance to get home before the actinics came on yesterday.
Will be home around lunch time today and snap a photo.
He's gotten pretty big in the past week.

Here he is today. Color up beautifully.

I skipped a feeding last night se he isn't as puffed up as he was yesterday from the other days feeding (ran out of squid and my puffer seemed really hungry so I gave the last of it all to him).

Seems to still be doing great.

Thanks a lot. I can't wait either. As long as he doesn't eat one of my mandarins, he's becoming one of my favorite residents.

Definitely looking better.

Be prepared for it to move as it recovers. In my experience, they prefer to have their pedal disc attached to and under rock. Not unusual for one that size to be able to contract fully under the substrate. I have had 5" base specimens move rocks around, larger ones bring rock piles down.

Be prepared for it to get much "stickier" as it recovers and the inhabitants will need to as well.

Personally I would not change anything now, but plan for the above now and enjoy saving what was "lost".
