Well as mentioned for anyone who has read my past post I was wanting the clean look of an internal overflow even though I sacrifice space I can live with it and avoid having a overflow box in the tank. The bottom is drilled 1 3/4 " to fit the 1" bulkhead. Drilling was clean and tank is structurally sound. So far I am about 80% done will be hopefully up and running about 2 weeks to get cycling. Enjoy and share your opinion please.

Looks good. I would have went with a black or blue piece of acrylic though. Not to sure on how the overflow will look in the tank once there is water running and all that. If you can cover that corner up with rock wrk than you are fine. Looks great though!

Thanks B..I didn't go with a blue translucent acrylic because of the bonding properties being a concern. But as you mentioned I had the same thought of stacking up shelving rock there anyhow. :)

I took small flat pieces of "lace rock" and attached them with silicone to the overflow and some on the back glass. Then just put live rock on the tank bottom. It all gets covered with algae. It's been fine for several years. R
