Uh...let's not mention the conspic....the griffis....the tinkeri....or the rest of the casualties from my temp drop.....

How cold the water got?
No heaters?
Are you getting any heaters i have none so far i need to get me a heater or two I have a controller My temperature when down to 74 F not long a go but the fish or corals show no ill effect.

72. The fish iched or something out--it didn't exactly look like ich when I got home, but essentially a bunch of fish were already dead and a bunch were on their way. Everything beyond a certain size bit it. The smaller fish tolerated it much better. I fished all the dead ones out and instituted a bunch of water changes. Things look good now. The inverts were fine interestingly. Of course I got an algae bloom.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I suffered a loss of a bunch of fish once from an ozone mistake. The thing that sucks about collecting rare fish is that mistakes are costly; not so much monetarily, but the time and rarity of being able to replace your fish. Anyway, glad to hear everything is ok again...

Tank is looking very nice. Too bad about the recent losses, but things like these will happen from time to time despite the best planning in the world. In time you will re-stock even better.

moonpod,

I noticed that you run a wavebox. Did you ever get the extension? I hooked up two of the boxes last night and I am only getting a single wave out of my tank. Did you do anything special to get the double wave?

I didn't read through all of the posts so forgive me if this has been already addressed.

Thanks

Wavebox and extension. For a double wave for me I have to have the cycle going pretty fast. Its harder to find the doublw wave point vs the single. Right now my waveboxes are down for cleaning so if you check my webcam no waves

The tank layout is 10x3x2h--450g. Large center back overflow with dual 2" drains and dual returns through the middle. Wavebox and extension for the wave effect. Dual Red Dragon 12 closed loop. One for each side with returns along the back as well as the front corners. Red Dragon 12 for the return as well. I am awaiting the new Polario pumps to try out on the closed loops.

Sorry just noticed. Been really busy. Those are the ACLS ballasts. Programmable dimming MH ballasts. Really, cool, totally superflous.

they are hooked up to my LAIIIs. I did not change fixtures. There's a plug thing you splice inline. It's easy.

I just haven't had much time to do anything with the tank. I need to put up a shelf and mount the ACLS ballasts on the shelf, but right now they're still sitting on the floor like in that pix.

How about an update on those purple tangs from page 1. I saw a 240 this weekend with 6 yellows in it, all doing fine and getting along for quite a while. I'm considering.........

Oh, I fished 8 of the 10 or so out b/c I wanted to diversify. I threw in a couple desjardins, vlamingis etc... 2 are fine in the tank, 1 is in my office tank. The others near as I know are fine in o2manyfish's tank.
