I spoke with Axel Tunze this morning about the new product releases.
The Multicontroller is delayed until mid November. It was more expensive and more complicated to make than initially projected and this is a cause of delays. 23 holes must be drilled in the case by hand. It is a really beautiful unit and worth the wait and will have a very high reliability. Even though it is work to make, it is easier than the old one in many ways and we should be better able to keep up with demand after release.
The Wavebox is delayed to mid November. It was found that the off cycle created a tremendous suction as water rushed back into the wavebox. Intake screens are required and some new molds have to be made. This work will likely lead to a better screen eventually for the streams to prevent injury. I have not seen the design myself.
The new 9000 Series of skimmers is on schedule for early December. It is really a great machine. A recent design change allows the user to change from recirculating plankton safe to full 100% through pass agressive skimming. This should be a major breakthrough.
In other news, we are moving to a new office. I apologize in advance for late shipments, screw ups and long delays in responding. Odds are pretty good I won't have a working phone for a day or two. I have my first employee now. David Reed will be packing the orders and taking care of inventory, but it will be a couple weeks until we are really settled in. I am taking this oppurtunity to upgrade everything, the size of our offices, the inventory we hold- now Tunze has increased production to the point we can keep stock on most items- and our computer and shipping systems. We will have a rough couple weeks though. Already I am way behind because half of the stuff is in one location and the other half in the other. I delayed all shipmenst and sold out many items to simplify the move. This is my fault. But, you can imagine with only two people such a move is not easy. Bear with us, we will get it done and be better than ever.
