so i picked up my new tank the other night(thanks dswong01) tonight i had to take a couple of pics for my bro and to show a few people. it's not been cleaned up and i have some other work to do on it. but the size is awsome. it's a 180 at 4x3x2, and i hope to have it set up by the end of summer

the red head had to much chocolate icecream earlier hence the shirtless wonder.

someday i'll start a thread but just wanted to share.

Chris

great pics.. Reminds me of a friends tank.. He would put his 8 year old son inside his 600 to clean it seasonally...

Might want to take a magnet cleaner to the little guy's mouth, looks like he's got some diatoms growin there =D

Man that's a sweet tank; can't wait to see it setup.

WoHoo... Wanna race to see who can get their "new" tank up and running first?? :D

I tried the "race" thing with ours.. so what will the winner of your race get ? :)

count me in. I like to join the race too. :D

Chris, that is a very nice play pen. :D What is your stocking plan for this new tank?

I don't even have the tank yet Tom/Perry .. Aren't your guys tanks up and running??

Who want to build a stand for my "new" tank?? :D

Chris,
If you are looking for a sump, lmk man. I have some tank that might work for you :) ..

ours is up and running with corals and fish for a couple of weeks now.. but we are still working on the filtration and automation setup.. and our new skimmer won't be here for another 2 weeks or so (using the Deltec 902 until then :)). So I guess you could say that we aren't "done" yet ? :)

Oh, and we will be redoing a bit of the aquascaping today also

But to be honest, all of that above is BAU for our tank(s).. I am always changing, updating, replacing some component or device :), but it can be said that we haven't reached a "baseline" yet on our tank.. still have shelving to finish putting up in our fish room, and drain lines to run, work sink to install and ... well, you get the idea :) So depending on your setup you may well still "finish" before us :). Heck, we ran our tank for well over a month with only rocks and sand, not a single fish or coral (to get the cycle started and establish the pod population for our mandarin. So we are taking it slower than normal, I guess :)

EDIT : Here is our build thread : http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=990537 On about the first half dozen pages there are pictures of the stand that we got from SoCal Creations. More recent pictures of the fish room build (walls that we put up, etc) and newer corals start on page 16 I think.

thanks for the compliments. I think it would be fun to race but it wont get wet untill aug. but that doesn't mean i wont have all the equipment ready to go by then.:)
maybe we should have a little prize like winner can get to borrow my member passes to the MBA(i have 2 and my perents have 2), and if i win you each give me a frag:D

the little red head has some diatoms that i had to scrub out and he didn't like that.

and phong pm sent.

thanks again

chris.
