I thought that I would post some pics of my new sump/refugium before and after the installation. Well here are the before pics.
The unit is 72" long X 15 3/4 wide X 20" deep.
Yes the wine in the refridgerator is for the instalation as well.
Over all pic.
Over all pic opposite side with labeling.
Refugium area inside the sump.
Drain area and return section.
The drain area on the right is going to accept the drain from the display tank on my first floor, the return from my skimmer and the return from my chiller's.
I PM'ed a few times with Melev here on RC and this is a variation of one of his sump designs. I had it made a foot longer with a larger refugium area.
Here is a pic of the new return pump, a Sequence Manta Ray. If I remember right, it pushes over 5000 gallons per hour at 4' of head and is a pressure rated pump so I can run my beckett skimmer off of the same pump and save myself on the electrical costs.
I will post more pics later in the weekend after it is all installed and running.
