upgrade question before I buy

Well the upgrade is not a warranty issue, so should be fine. Hell when I got my first vortech before the drivers, I got it at 15% off because the wireless ones were just rolling out.
They might just be lowering the price to help out customers who want to send the pump back for the upgrade, it's only $19 off, so it makes sense. However I wouldn't be surprised if the sale goes away when they get their first Gen2 Vortech since they could simply upgrade all the Gen1 pumps.

They said if you show proof of purchase they will take care of it.
there is going to be alot of sales on the gen 1's so they can get the new stock with gen 2 magnets and driver...

Just to clarify regarding the upgrade:
If you buy a first generation pump from May the 23rd forward and send your pump into us we will perform the code upgrade and install the magnet kit. If you do not wish to send the pump in to us, we will send you the magnet kit but cannot send you the code as this requires that we have your driver. Please refer to the original post on this subject if you have any further questions.

Unfortunately, I don't have time for mIRC anymore these days, I wish I did as it is sorta responsible for this entire company. That's where Justin and I originally met each other and started EcoTech up.
The fastest way to buy the upgrade is to call us at 610.954.8480 or email Gary at gary@ecotechmarine.com. He is coordinating all the processing for these upgrades. I'm back in the office now so I'm expecting to see them ship hopefully by Friday.
