Excited to see that you got the Vectra and the Leak detection module. This is going to be a really cool set up. I really like the lighting rack that you have. It should be really nice to be able slide the light rack into your fish room in the back. Something I'll be looking to do in future set ups.

Third light up.

Considering putting this commercial shelving unit in the fish room (to the right of the tank) Do you think i would have a problem with it rusting?

Yes, it is guaranteed to eventually rust from salt splashes and salty evaporation around the tank and system.

Any suggestions for storage? (possible QT tank as well)

Could possibly use rust-oleum spray paint on these to prevent from rusting? Much easier than building a whole wood shelving unit and painting.. epoxy etc.

You could go all aluminium, like 80/20.com. Just make sure you brace it well for lateral stresses.

I have one of those in my fish room that has about 600 gallons total in it and it hasn't rusted yet. It's been in there for more than a year.

Was able to get the new vectra pump installed yesterday. The pump is awesome completely silent and a TON of flow. Also cleaned up all the wiring a little bit, still more to do but its looking better. I'll post some pics tonight.

Added a few more fish to the system as well.

Looking to bulk order some frozen food. Anyone have a connection to bulk order larrys reef frenzy? Or any other recommendations?

Fantastic build but something about the return pipe going up and over i can't stop looking at, i suggest coming out of the sump into a 90 (one above the other), and placing the pumps between tank and sump, then you can run the returns up between the drains and eliminate about 15' of pipe. Just a thought.

Great build!

How thick is your glass?

I look forward to seeing more pics as your project progresses but everything looks great so far.

Trying to decide what to do with the middle section of the sump? It's probably around 80 gallons which is pretty large.

Worth it to do a refugium?

Fill it with rock and keep it dark?

Do a big chaeto ball with a 150W high pressure sodium lamp. It grows like made and takes in a lot of nutrients.

Made some progress with the wall around the tank. The wall will feature 'barn wood' like panels rather than drywall.
