Upgrade

I'm glad everyone likes the cabinet ... funny thing was it ended up being an adaptation of a stand I was working on for my own new setup ... Bob saw it and wanted one made similar to it for Kermit's ....

Unfortunately I haven't had time to finish the original design and now its been siting in pieces beside the aquarium in my workshop for like 3 months

Jim do you think maybe sometime this summer we could get together and build me a new canopy? The one I have I built....and you can tell ,lol.I want one that opens "gull wing" style and is a bit more pleasing to the eye.
Maybe I could make a poolside candlelight dinner for you and the Missus that night as a thank you :)

my carpentry skills are not all that. the one i made is just a framed box that does not open . Jason (aka) Cabin3tguy is the man to see about that he does some great work he is the one who built the stand and canopy on this tank, thanks for the offer John

I can't believe you are turning down a candelight dinner :P ugh !!! that's why you are so a BUTTHEAD!!!!!!!!! and you fall to short on yourself that canopy work that you did on the 10 gall was really good .. But still You are so a BUTTHEAD !!!

Congrats on the new tank Darlene!!! The tank is beautiful... Still want to get with you and learn how to make those noodles.....

lol carlos, first i have to finish repairing this chiller i aquired , when the lights are the tank is getting too warm and im going to need a controler for it, it had a cracked heat exchanger , i have it repaired allready , i have to take apart the rest of it clean it up and repaint the structure then figure out a controler for it, thinking abou getting a refridgeration controler , i just have to special order a 10k ohm temp probe that is either titanium, or a high grade of stainless , they may have a silicone coated one ill have to check around

thanks jason .. and carlos lol .... um going to definately ask butthead where he is working now for the vinyl tint to put at the back of the tank lmao..

No wonder Darlene calls Jim: "œButthead"! (Sorry, I couldn't help myself.)

But the tank does looks great Dar!

thanks marty ..

Well i mentioned to butthead abt sprayn the back part first before the setup .. but livestock couldn't wait anymore at the time, I may just have him put the black tint at the back ... and lol marty it's ok if you couln't help yourself lol I call him that 24/7 hahahahahahaha so .. he ought to be use to it by now lol it's been 9 yrs hahahaha

Oh, I know...

Yeah, I figured there was a noble "rush to save", but ugh... to have just one extra day, only because that's something so easy that truly can only happen once, when it's new. (At least to do it properly.)

Good luck with the "Salt Creep".

No... not Jim.

:love2:

it can still be brushed on marty even after its running she wasnt sure wether she wanted it painted or not when it was being set up .... just a little project that can be done after the temp can be made more stable

Explain this Concept:

You said, "brushed"?.... fascinating. At what PSI is something, “brushed”?

How do you combat fish-eye in a high-humidity environment?

For me, the Only thing that should have brush strokes, is a priceless Renoir.
