Upgrading buy Down sizing

dinoflagellates, pretty nasty buggers when you go over their biology. They are often the cause of tissue death in fish/corals because of their cystic phase in which they float and then burrow into the skin of a "host"

Slowly beating them with 40-60g water changes/week (165g is the system volume), constant vacuuming, GFO, carbon, filter socks and elevated pH. I wish there were an easier fix for this scum :blown:

Any update? Does it still exist?

It exists, but is going through a re-birth right now

  • I tore it down to sell the house.
  • Loaned it to Avast Marine for a test tank while I rented and built a new house
  • Got it back, set it up and then lost my job for 13 months.
  • Its now running agian.

I'm going slow this time
 
Hey, good to know you're still reefing. When you're stocked up again, start a thread and show us how a legendary reefer grows and colours sticks. :thumbsup:
