I am going to be upgrading me 30g to a 55g in wall just wondering if 2 shop lights (4x40 watt) would be good for coral till I can get a compact setup ?
Well I am looking to build a light setup to keep anything in my tank so any ideas even diy is fine I am really handy around a shop. If anyone has any used or even messed up but can be fixed lighting fixtures they want to sell pm even if it is something I might be able to bring back from the dead.
Well I was looking around all the parts I have and I got 2 pc setups at 65w a bulb so that would make it around 4.27w a gallon what should it be to keep spa coral growing
Take a look here. This will give you all the information you need. The watts per gallon rule is slowly making it's way out of the hobby and other factors are becoming involved(PAR, depth of water, kelvin rating). Read up on all of that and it will help give you an idea of where you want to go. Hope that helps!
