Hmm didn't know that. so I guess you had to hack saw the intake as well than. I didnt see many bh300f so I assumed they might of fixed that. But I guess some like their skimmer box higher than others

Yea, it was a good one - two inches below the water level. If you wanted it for a surface skimmer you'd have to run your water level very very low.

Ok so Ill take off the intake tube and hack saw it to the measured length I need for the surface skimmer to work... I do have a good amount of surface scum.. So, I think that about covers it. Thanks for the help and advice everyone and I'll be sure to post a response when I get the skimmer.
