seems my largest male has developed bubblegas. After consulting with experts, I attempted the pouch evacuation. No gas was released, I will try again tomorrow night, but thinking is now that it may be under the skin.

Experts suggest Diamox treatment. I will be asking vet tomorrow for some but I am told chances are slim they can get it for me. Thus I am looking for a friend who might have some to share. I am in Norwich CT.

Water Params: ph 8.2, temp 76-78, amonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate ~10, salinity 1.026
Horse stats: CB seahorsesource.com, strong, 9 months old, swims fast squirms like mad, active, eats like a clownfish
Appearance: at first thought he was pregnant again and may be so, but he floats upside down sometimes and swims near the surface other times.
Only recent change is that I started using a phosban reactor and a kent phosphate remover because phosphates were a little high.

Any help is appreciated. Kevin

I did find a Diamox pill if I need one, but strangest thing, he no longer seems to have the problem.

Yesterday he was swimming upside down uncontrolably, and swimming at the surface.

This morning he was at the surface and rubbing the walls like he was scratching.

Came home early because I was worried about him and @3pm today he looks fine. No swim problem I can see. I found him clinging to a rock. I figured I'd feed them an extra meal and see what he did expecting that when he let go of the rock he would float to the surface. But instead he just slinked down the rock surface like everyone else and started to pig out. He was hungry man. Been watching him and he moves like normal.

So, does this sound strage or plausible? Maybe my pouch evac helped after all though I can't see how. I didn't notice any gas leaving and he had the swim problem just as bad after the procedure.

Think I'll order some pills online so I have them for the future.

He may have released the air bubble himself?

Glad things are looking better.
