September 11th, 2016 - Photo Update
Time for my weekly photo update. Here are some images that were taken in the last week. As always, views, likes and comments are appreciated. Any question or suggestions are appreciated even more.

Thanks for looking!

September FTS - From Hallway Side

A small window into some coral goodness.

WWC Fire Breather

Forest Fire Digitata

WWC Red Gonipora

Efflo - Taken in hopes of one day showing some good growth comparisons

Peek-A-Boo

Strawberry Fields - Taken with a bit of red LEDs added. :)

That Digi is awesome! Excellent work, as always. I look forward to the photo updates each week.
I do have a request, please. You have lots of great macro and FTS photos. I'd like to see a few that are "regional" to show some of the corals together. Or is that a whole different ballgame with DOF?

mpdersken - Thanks for the view and comment. I will see about getting some shots like you described. If you go back to my last 4 or 5 weekly posts, I have at least one of what I believe you are asking for. Take a look at those and let me know if I'm missing your point.

Amazing beautiful photography of a stunning fine aquarium and its inhabitants. Hats off to you. Thank you for sharing!

Ryan - That is a very cool fish. Mine certainly does not have that much courage. He likes to watch from a far but always has an eye on me. Hope the corals you got from me on Thursday are doing well. Even more so, I hope the wedding was great today! Congrats on that.

The corals are doing great! Thank you again for showing me your system and giving me the frags! The wedding went awesome. Way to much fun for one weekend. I will send you some photos when I get to breathe again.

Ryan - Glad to hear it the good news on all fronts... coral, weding, fun, etc. etc.

Tort Combo - Here is a shot, again in very low light of my Cali Tort and Great Oceans Wonder Tort. The GOW came from a local reefer (Thanks Jeff P.)

Well, you don't work for me, and I love all the shots, but I really love the middle between FTS and a single polyp. Seeing how the coral sits with others. Just my preference.

Michael

Beautiful pics as always. If it's not too much trouble can you send me your ati mapping please. The first time it was sent it didn't copy and i have used my own since then but want to see if there would be a big difference using yours. Thanks and again true inspiration.

Michael - Thanks for the clarification, I will see what I can do.

Some great shots of a beautiful tank! Nice work all around

Synden - Many thanks!

Bleenys are the dogs of reef tanks. One of my favorite fish.

moondoggy - so true. Thanks for the view and comment.

SUPAkg - Thanks. PM me your email address again. I will find the old email I sent you in my archives and resend it.

When does it all come down? Plans for a bigger tank in the new house?

The timeline is a bit up in the air right now. We close on our new house in November. Our current house goes up for sale this week. Once we sell and can arrange a move out date that will dictate a schedule.

For now the glass and cabinet are up for sale, I will be using all of my other equipment on a new build. The dimensions of the new build will be a bit smaller in foot print but I may go a little taller. All that is TBD at this point.

Drop-off?

Alfrareef - Good call but I've never seen the attraction. I'm sure I'm missing something.

You're breaking this down?!?! [emoji15]

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Squibege - It is coming down, know anyone that ones to buy the glass? :) I will be moving the rest of the equipment to a new tank once we get in our new house. I just will not be able to fit this same size aquarium in the new place.

Incredible. This means we get to watch yet another amazing build thread!!!!

mpderksen - True. Bright side to everything.

Drop off: i like the sense of depth and to watch fishs going up and down. Also there is the use of a vertical wall to place corals and gorgonias without looking as a "brick wall" at the back of the aquarium.
Finally I'm a diver and enjoy very much the drop offs at sea... :-)
