urchin in acrylic

Would it be ok to have an urchin, say a pincusion in a 65 gallon acrylic tank?

whay would you be concerned about it being in an acrylic tank? i dont see any problem with it being in that tank if that is what you want.

i personally will never have an urchin in any of my tanks again. they are destructive and destroy your rocks. not to mentin i like my coraline algea the way it is..lol...

well they are strong enough to scrape and eat corraline, i was just wondering if they would scratch the acrylic.

i wouldnt imagine that they would scratch the acrylic tank, but i could be wrong on that.

Some people have complained about urchins damaging acrylic tanks. Why don't you do a search on "urchin" and "acrylic" and see what you can find?

I think a pincusion would be ok, but I would be hesitant about any others.

Urchins will scratch an acrylic tank. I would not do it.

Ive never kept urchins in acrylic. But my rock boring urchin does a number on the corraline in my glass tank.
