urchins and acrylic?

gonna bump this.
some say no they won't scratch acrylic while feeding, some say yes....

any more opinions????
thanks!

A long spine urchin definitely will but I don't think a tuxedo urchin will but I'm not a 100 percent sure on that

I have a Biocube, which I'm pretty sure is acrylic, and my tuxedo urchin never left any damage that I could see. Longspines definitely will, I've seen it happen, but I don't think a tuxedo urchin will cause damage.

Biocubes are glass. I originally thought they were acrylic too.

Tuxedo can do damage. It will be minimal unlike grinding penci urchins or scraping long spines, but tuxedos can leave marks at the right angle...

There's also the note that they carry shells and rubble which can damage acrylic.

judging by the way my pincushion mows through coralline, i seriously doubt one would not damage acrylic!

i didn't word that very well. in a round about way, i meant yes, they would definitely damage acrylic. :)
