I got home from a 9 day trip and my acans in my 8 gallon nano were very receded and looked kind of sick. I did a 3 gallon water change, but i am not sure if they will come back. Should i put them under T5s or leave them under 8 watt LEDs as they are? I will try to get some photos up tomorrow.

after the change PO4:0 NO3: less than 10 alk: 10 Ca:400 Mg:1400. Temp is 80 and i only have a yellow assessor and a red chromis. Someone says my light is too low, but it is my understanding that they like low light.

Acans are quite forgiving on the lighting, I have found that when I get a new one the will sometimes take a few days to really have acclimated to the new system. IME I always start them out at the sand level and then see how they react to the light. I have some acans that thrive on being in bright light and closer to it. The color up and also plump up more. I have others (usually the pink or light red ones) that like lower light. Here is a link with some overall info on acans: https://sites.google.com/a/asira.org/www2/acanthastrea
