Urgent Drop In Ph

my Qt tank had a dramatic drop in pH. my 20 gallon tank has a low pH, other then that parameters are good. i am doing a 20 percent water change, and added marine buffer. whate can cause this drop, is it the extra oxygen i added today?

PH problems in QT's are almost always caused by poor aeration and the resulting buildup of CO2. Try adding a powerhead pointed at the surface.
